ISRAEL TOSSES OUT SETTLERS AND THE BIBLE

Defiant, determined Jews in the Gaza Strip lock gates and form human chains

in their efforts to stay in their homes, as Israel begins an attempt to

give part of their country to the Palestinians.

Some wept and pled with soldiers not to force them out of their homes.

Others burned their houses and cars to keep the Palestinians from taking

them over.

The Jews in Gaza have two claims to their homes. The government promised

them the property if they moved into Palestinian territory. And the God of

their Scriptures promised the land to the descendants of Abraham and Isaac.

The government is caving in to pressure from the UN and the U.S. to give

the land to the Palestinians in the belief this will stop the violence.

The heart of the issue is two holy books. The Bible supports the Jewish

claim to all the land of Israel and the Koran orders the Islamic

Palestinians to kill all Jews.

Those who hope the Muslims will stop killing Jews once they get a home land

are obviously ignoring the plain teachings of the Koran and the history of

Islam.

The Koran commands “Fight therefore against them until … the only worship

be that of God (Allah).

Islam’s second holy book, the Hadith, records, “The Apostle of Allah

(peace_be_upon_him) said: If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill

them” (Hadith ABU DAWUD 2996).

Muhammad gave the proper interpretation of their Koran when he had over 600

defenseless Jews who had surrendered to him beheaded in the market of

Medina.

The Palestinians are not killing Jews just because they hate them. They are

killing Jews because they love Allah and wish to obey him

One question

What percentage of Palestinians are Muslims?

Make no mistake about it my friend - hatred plays it's part . . . and plays it large.

I have studied Islam in graduate school. I have read the Koran. I have studied the life of Muhammad and I have 'worshipped' (visited, observed and talked) in the mosque with Muslims. There are many fine people who are Muslims, and there is even beauty to be found in the practice of Islam and the Koran. Even in the lives of some or many adherents to Islam.

Any sweep of the brush may paint too broadly. They are not all haters and they are not all beautiful. But they are all people and the bible says that the heart of man is desperately wicked and deceitful. Muslims are not exempt from this truth.

I would say that love of Allah is not as strong as hatred for Jews, in those that kill. Islam provides a religious context for the venting of that hatred, a sort of fuel for the fire. But the fire that tortures and destroys is not fueled by love.

Hi Dave, Was that a copy and pasted article? If so, out of curiousity, where'd you get it?

Muhammad gave the proper interpretation of their Koran when he had over 600

defenseless Jews who had surrendered to him beheaded in the market of

Medina.

Anyone else besides me wonder if a 'proper interpretation' of the Bible might be insightful for the Jews thinking? In other words, if Muhammad gave the *correct* interpretation of their holy book, then wouldn't it be necessary/correlary that Christ give the *correct* interpretation of the Bible (or is it just the OT that we're rightfully speaking of here...meaning it is divorced from the NT)?

Just thinking out loud. :)

The Israel of the Middle East, that is the geographical Israel, is NOT the Israel of the Bible. The Israel of the Bible, is Gods Beloved Church. What goes on in geographic Israel, is irrelevent, as it pertains to the Church, or the Bible.

In all fairness, Joysbowman, it would seem profitable, IMHO, for you to share the basics of how you arrived at this conclusion, and/or contrast it to the road that one takes (consciously or unconsciously) to arrive at the perspective that states ethnic Israel is still the 'apple of his eye'.

That way we all could chew on it and either swallow, spit it out, or some of both. :)

I agree Swanny...I also would like to see how he arrived at that conclusion.
