As a proud dad, I can't help but look down the road in my minds eye a few years to where I am taping with a video camera and those are real deer!

But for now, this gives us a taste of things to come!

Larry,

I actually hunt pretty much 100% from the ground. This is at a 3d shoot and I'm just standing on the slope right behind him. There is a pretty good incline, and the stand is only at about my chest level.

thats a neat idea for that kind of shot. out here it is usually a platform with stairs and a safety rail thats in your way.
thats an equally safe way to do it!
all my kids grew up shooting a bow but none of them ever hunted with one. they all were horseback early on too but only one still saddles a horse when she comes for a visit.
lifestyles sure have changed over the last 50 years or so! now "time" is a scarce commodity it seems.
