Anyone who thinks racism enters in to my choices is way off base! No such thing exists here. I like Michelle, but I think Hally is superfine. I listen to Nat King Cole, simply the best. Lizard, there's a strong resemblance. I think anyone could tell the difference between them, but seriously, what negative implication would there be if Michelle Obama and James Brown happen to share some of the same lineage? It's not like James Brown is an unsavory character or that there would be some negative or derogatory association.

I think more than a few people wondered if Tina Fey and Sarah Palin were related, too.

As for the "all black people look alike, schtick", you can keep that card in your hip pocket to play somewhere else with somebody else. I sure as hell don't think she looks like Snoop Dog or Will Smith or alan Keyes or Alicia Keyes or Beyonce or Condaleeza Rice or Jerry Rice or Troy Poloamolo or any other black person I've ever seen. But she does bear a strong resemblance to James Brown (who has never been photographed posing in front of a Che Guererra banner, by the way).

I think you had to dig pretty hard to try to figure out a way to turn this into a "racist" thread. Save that for people who made comparisons between the president and a chimpanzee.

Yeah, they do look alike to me. Not because they are black but because of the cheak bones and apparent underbite.

As far as my "schtick". You really can't see how I might think that this was another one of those "they look alike" things floating around the internet? My mistake then.

Well, they do bear a strong resemblance, Lizardbow. I know a lot of the "look alike" references on the net are derogatory, but seriously, noting that there are some strong facial resemblances between James Brown and Michelle Obama is pretty hard to take in a negative light - or at least I didn't see anything negative about it. Someone pointed it out to me and I had to agree that, by golly, there is a strong resemblance. It's very possible that somewhere down the line, they may be related. Or it could just be pure coincidence. No disrespect intended to the first Lady. I think James Brown is a very respectable individual.
