Had to deliver a death message tonight. The mother ask me what happend. I told her that her son shot his-self, she replied by blaming her husand standing nearby. ' you should have taken that gun away" He stood silently and had nothing to say. Before I left, I took him aside and told him that it was not his fault, and that a firearm is only a tool. He could have used anything to kill himself from drugs to razor blades to a car crash.This helped alleviate his burden somewhat, but his wife was very fast to cast blame.

Thats so selfish. Du'mass lady. Givin the guys father reason to hate himself for the rest of his days. Oughta be a test before your given working genitalia.

He did himself in, and thats a shame. But really, theres no blame to cast, or at least there shouldnt be.


Sidebar- my buddy owns a one of those Storage Unit outfits. Had a guy in a unit for days. Told every one that checked on him that he was killing himself. Finally (yep took days before someone called the police) the cops come, and haul him off. Sadly, he didnt understand that Killing yourself by parking your car in a garage required that not only the door be closed, but the car must be running as well.
