Hi everone,
I've got an old Darton 50MX riser and was wondering the possibilities of a WARF were? Anyone got any advice or played with this particular riser?
Thanks.
Mick:)

The angle of the limb pockets looks kinda steep. If it is over 150 degrees, I would forget the idea. Quinn limbs are designed for 150, and I would favor them. ILF's are happier around 140*, at 150 they are a little overstressed, (stacking on draw) but work well for 28" and under (i.e. Proline Typoon).

You nailed it...150 degrees, I just measured it. I will check with Quinn. Thanks for the tip on the ILF's.
I got some interesting answers on another site.....

A few years ago I did a couple of that model Darton for ILF limbs and they made a not so good recurve. The pocket angle is way to flat for ILF's, way over stressed the limbs for a normal draw length and the limb pockets were a mild nightmare to get to look acceptable. Wouldn't be my choice of a "doable" riser for ILF limbs. BUT...there are a lot of modern takedown longbows that use a pretty flat limb angle and might make a decent bow if you can get around the looks of the pockets...warf
