View Full Version : ?'s on Warfin a bow
I'm new to this site and i'm intrested in making WARF bows. I've read some information here on what risers are the most common to use but not too much on which limbs. I guess my first question is how much does it usually cost to WARF a bow?? I saw a riser for sale on here but i wouldn't know where to start on what limbs to get or if you can even buy limbs that do fit. I guess i'm just looking for more information if anyone can help.

I sure don't know all the ins and outs of warfin, but I had Bob Gordon do the conversion for ILF limbs on three risers, a bear and two hoyts. I don't know if you want to do the work yourself or send it to him. Which riser and limb combo I think is more of a personal feel, except that if you have a short DL a riser like the proline would get you better performance. If you had a long DL I would not use the proline based on what has been stated on here before. It's in the limb pocket angle that makes the difference. I went with longs (ILF) limbs on all of mine, but could probably use mediums too. My DL is 29 1/2. You can also do what's refered to as a quarf, which is quinn limbs, but they're not ILF. There are others here who have done their own and I'm sure could and will help you with more info. Sent you a PM also.
