Congrats to Jim Powell on his win this past weekend at NFAA nationals in Kentucky , Jim shot a 279 with 21 X"s and a 277 with 18X's for a grand total of 556 :highfive: I shoot with Jim all most every weekend and the win could not go to a better guy . Congrats again :youdaman: :shooting:

For those of us who don't get out much (or at least East of the Mississippi much) it would be helpful to know a little about Mr. Powell, like what class he shoots in and what he shot the posted score with?

Over on ArcheryTalk someone listed the top three Olympic Recurve shooters and John wasn't among them. His son got second place in what ever bracket a 14 year old shoots in. Bet John is as happy about that as if he had taken first himself (smiley face goes here).

Jim is the guy in the middle of the picture ,that is posted on our home page ,right next to Ricky welch. Jim shoots a hoyt axsis ,FX limbs, 48#@28 .He shoots game tracker CXL 350's .His rest is a trap door compund rest , witch I still cant figure out how he gets it to work , I have one on a riser and cant shoot it ,it just goes to show you there our no limts to this archery stuff. He also shoots with a glove ,no sights but has a gap system that he is most profisant with. He is 50 years old works for meijer corp. for 32 years and a super nice guy , I congrat him again on win ,and this is what I have to put up with weekend after weekend , also Bill powell , Dave hawkins , its tuff up here in Michigan.

Congrads for sure!!!! Those are some awesome score,s right there. I can,t wait till the day comes that I can break into the 270,s LOL ofcourse I,ve only been in the 260,s once so I got my work cut out for me.
