Hi all, amatuer attempting to make a riser would like to know what type of phenolic would be best in a home-made ILF riser? Do I really need phenolic at all?

Thanks
Leo

Are you tired of that Morrison riser already, Leo? :)

I don't have any riser building experience to share with you, but if you don't get any answers to your question, you could get in touch with Old Master Crafters, 130 Le Baron St., Waukegan, IL 60085 Phone: (847) 623-2660

They are a source for bowbuilding raw materials and can answer just about any questions you may have about bow construction. They can also sell you what you need for your project.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info.
No, I don't think I'll ever tire of my Morrison. It is one sweet riser. I'm actually waiting for a higher end set of limbs for it :)
Since I will have this extra set of limbs, and I've been wanting to make a riser for a while I figure I'll just make the best riser I can.
Thanks also for the link, that thread was some very informative reading.

So what limbs are you getting? What are the specs on those KAP's you've been shooting?
