I'm thinking who's Trad ? When Charly pointed this sight out to me last night it never accured to me that it was a traditionsl bow hunters site. He spoke so highly of the Christians on here I thought nothing of it.

Somewhere else, you'd be in the lions den. Here, you are welcome. This is a traditional archery site. Notice that the emphasis is on the archery? We don't tell people with questions to scram, just because they happen to shoot a compound.

The Danger you face is that you may get warfed and that your compound will get "converted." :)

BTW, welcome to the site and the forum! Hope you decide to stick around.

LOL, MIke I wish I could shoot a compound if so I would be traditional like my ML. But unfortunetly I crushed #4,5 & 6 in lower back and need left shoulder replaced and the right is not far behind. Still dosn't stop me form a few target shots with one of Stagmitis's lighter stick bows. After a few shots with him yesterday I'm feeling it. So, I'm a little futher out their with my Ten Point and Excalibuar crossbows. Been shooting them 23 years now here in Md. I hunt like A trad hunter with avg. shot's of 7 yards. All the skill except being able to hunt with a long bow.

But besides all that it's the fellowship of Christian hunters that drew me here.

Man that hurts to hear. Sorry for the mistaken conclusion! I've missed a few weeks so you're probably telling me old news. I'd like to hear the full story sometime.

Yep there are some fellows hereabouts to whom God is very real and personal and it shows. For me, it is a blessing and a privilege to hang around the site and this particular forum.

Esquir, This is my 2nd day , so what you see showing on the board is it.

I blew out my shoulder the 1st year I was married in 81. I bought a Stembler compound , realy nice bow, I was very well built and could handle 80 pounds if I wanted to but chose to shoot 72 pounds. Well, I tore the tendons off the rotator cup to my left shoulder. Now chuncks of cartledge falk off. So I went to the Doc's he said never pull another bow but with 3 boy's wanting to follow in Dad's foot steps and I would try to help them learn but I was a very poor teacher. Then some good friends steped forward and worked with my son's and their doing great.
Now the great news , I meet a man named Gil Fry, he was the gradfather of the crossbow comptition in the US and world Master. He lived just up the road. He became sort of a mentor and I turned my focus to crossbows. Now many guys have hunted with them as long in the moderian age of crossbows as I have. But I told my boys they will shot either stick bow's or compounds. Stagmitis has been working with my youngest son Jake with a recurve. He's prity good but needs a few years befor he can hunt with one. So , I bought him a compound for now.
