Hi folks,
have watched with much interest all the great stuff that has been done with old compound risers.
First and for most must thank Bob Gordon for going a head and seeing what will work and what won't.
Yes good on ya Bob:youdaman:

Recycling, I just love it!!

There's been some great retro fits and some excellent looking bows. Sleek, elegant and not only that, they perform.
What is it, man I just love the look of hi-bred recurves.

Any ways, I've been finger shooting a compound for a while now and have just got back into recurve shooting with the purchase of a Quinns Stallion Classic rated 45# @ 28" DL. I did quite a bit of bare bow recurve shooting as a kid of 17 yrs but then hunted with a rifle and the bow was sold, that was 30 years ago.... geezzz, that long ago was it:confused:

Now I've just bought myself a Black Bear Panther very cheap and am ready to begin warfing it.

Ok, just to get me in the loop for what I need here....,
I'd like to keep in the 62" amo range. My DL is 29.5 and the poundage I'd like to keep to is nothing over 50# for my DL.
If I was to purchase another set of Quinns limbs, what length and what poundage (working on the set 28" DL bowyers use on limb poundage) so what would I be needing...

Any advice would be much appreciated...

Ok folks, good to be onboard.
Keep trying different risers you guys, down here in Australia, there aint much in the way of cheap second hand compound bows to take the hand tools too, so it's good to know what works and what don't.

Keep on 'warfing':bow2:

All the best

Ok guys,
sorry, found what I was looking for.
I knew I'd seen some where a thread that explained what I needed, didn't think it was so recent, was in 'bow dudes'- "little help with a quarf".:sorry:

When I get around to getting some limbs, will let you know how things go.
Probably rebate out the riser to take the stock Quinns limbs.

Any pictures of adaptor plates if I wanted to go down the ILF path??

All the best
