Not exactly about bows... but do any of you do any flint knapping. I'd love to start making some flint arrow heads. We have flint all over the place here.
Any info would be appreciated :thankyou:

Van... I'd be ashamed to show you my efforts.... what a pathetic "knapper" I am. The course was fantastic in every respect, great tutors, great flint, great instruction. But a useless pupil.. me
The day started really well ... basic stuff, evaluating the stone... then flaking to get a simple cutting "knife" edge. ( man that flint can be sharp).But when, after lunch, It came to creating a shape and pressure flaking, that's when the trouble started.
But....
I have to say... I would reccomend having a go to everyone It's a wonderfull skill and one I'm determined to master... but it might take a while :p :p
